Exciting News! We have partnered with Miller’s Heavenly Scents to host a fundraiser for our homeless animals! When you purchase a Humane Society of Charles County candle, 50% of all sales goes to the shelter! Check out these amazing candles and get your orders in for summer, running through July 31st 2024. Amber Noir Description: This sweet and sensual scent is suited to be a year-round luxury candle, with top notes of plum and citrus and merged with amber, jasmine and amyris.
Hot Apple Pie Description: Have your house smelling like you just baked an Apple Pie! This scent is a warm and apple spiced scented candle, you will not be able to get a closer smell without baking an apple pie yourself.

Every time you donate, you help to give thousands of animals each year a second chance and make an impactful difference in their lives. If you would like to help your donation go further, consider making a monthly contribution of an amount that makes sense for your family. Recurring donations help them to better plan for the animals that we take into their care.
Family Pet Photo Contest
The Humane Society of Charles County is looking for photos of your special pets to fill the pages of our 2025 Family Pet Calendar.
Enter by submitting one high-resolution photo of your family pet, their name, and a brief bio. Entry fee is $30 and reserves a calendar. Calendars will be available in October and will make great Holiday gifts.
All entries must be submitted online on this contest website to be considered and published for voting.
Photos to be included in the calendar will be chosen by vote. Anyone can vote by donating $1 per vote, $5 minimum, to the Humane Society. All donations will be used to care for the homeless animals. The Humane Society cares for injured and neglected animals through health care, fostering, and adoption. The Humane Society also provides community services, education, affordable spay and neuter services and vaccinations.
Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial, or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
